Lebanese artist Rabih Mroué walks the line between the arts. His work is exhibited in international museums such as the MoMa in New York, as well as presented at international theatre festivals, most recently at Theater der Welt in Mannheim. On the eve of his most recent, touching and inspiring performance Riding on a cloud, Mroué presents three video works – On three posters (2004), Pixelated Revolution (2012), Duo for two missing persons (2013). As in his performances, he deals here also with the construction of reality. Against the backdrop of the situation in the Near East, in Lebanon and in Syria, his interest is particularly directed at the significance of media images and their influence on the relationship between the political public realm and subjective experience.
