VIOLET

Mousonturm Saal

Choreography/Dance

American dancer and choreographer Meg Stuart, known for her radical and relentless choreographies, is considered on the most important protagonists of the international dance scene. After seven years, she now returns to Mousonturm with her prize-winning piece VIOLET. In it, five dancers create a unique energetic landscape, a terrain of options charged by movement and dance. VIOLET is a maelstrom: a swirl of energetic patterns and kinetic sculptures constantly revealing new details, partnered live on stage by drummer and composer Brendan Dougherty. A fragile “condition humaine” manifesting itself and erupting into intense physical states – loud, rousing, intense and intensive.
