An Israeli-Palestinian conference. Is the man sitting on the same panel as Lizzie an Arabic suicide bomber? No, Nadim just prefers to attach his travel documents to his waistband using black tape… The ensuing friendship between author Lizzie and the journalist Nadim is accompanied by prejudices and has its ups and downs right from the start. Lizzie is carting around the Holocaust as baggage and Nadim has the Nakba – the great catastrophe of the ’48 war. They realize that they inhabit the same madhouse, just in different closed wards.
