Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm

a critical mass – everything dances → ZuKT dances! For the 10th time since Tribal Dances with the hr-Bigband (2003) the ZuKT (Department for Contemporary and Classical Dance at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts) visits Künstlerhaus Mousonturm. ZuKT moves us, produces dance and experiments that vibrate with the joy of movement. ZuKT doesn’t adhere to a single style, stands for a comprehensive understanding of dance, covers a wide spectrum of tradition and innovation and is always good for surprises. This month’s program features some very different choreographic styles to fully challenge the movement and creative capabilities of its young dancers. The program will include among things excerpts from melodious gimmick to keep the boys in line, a piece by Marc Spradling for the Stuttgart Ballet (2007) and Enemy in the Figure by William Forsythe. For the first time in a HfMDK program, we will also be dancing excerpts from Political mother by Hofesh Shechter and present new pieces by Sagi Gross and Ivan Perez.
