ZuKT stands for contemporary and classical dance, is both title and agenda. ZuKT stands for aesthetic diversity and seeks out the links between tradition and innovation. ZuKT is always good for surprises and inspires a true love of dance. Since 2003, the ZuKT has presented a yearly attractive and challenging programme at Mousonturm, enticing dance lovers to the Künstlerhaus, who are ready to once again partake in young dancers’ boisterous joy of movement. The spectrum of pieces featured in “ZuKT_ right now!” ranges from new choreographies by Luc Dunberry, Peter Mika, Ivan Perez and Paul White – who for the first time has developed a choreography of his own with BAdance students – to excerpts of William Forsythe’s “workwithinwork” and pieces by Cameron McMillan und Dieter Heitkamp. Working with many different choreographers gives students the chance to playfully explore the many facets of their artistic potential – dynamic, precise, mindful, captivating, dashing!
