1. Offenbacher Seefestspiele 2017
Wastelands, puddles, concrete, wood, four weeks to prepare and seven artists attending – these are the ingredients of the 1. Offenbacher Seefestspiele. The YRD.Works collective transforms the contested Offenbach harbour into a utopian space with a four-piece series performed in a hybrid mix of water basin, walk-in sculpture and stage. Artistic accomplices: the music duo Les Trucs – best known for DIY experimental electronic devices, choir sounds, motors and other acoustic ready-mades – and the contact Gonzo collective, shocking audiences from New York to Tokyo with their playfully breakneck performances. Together, they uncover the fantastic potential lying dormant under the harbour.
