Welcome to Caveland! – Festival for subterranean and secret ways of living
The world as cave: in April, theatre magician Philippe Quesne transforms the Mousonturm into a molehill to explore subterranean worlds with 24 international
artists from the fields of performance, music and visual arts. A parade of gigantic moles, who also inhabit Quesne’s piece Night of the Moles, will be the opener
to Welcome to Caveland!, inviting Frankfurt residents of all ages to explore in person the utopian spaces spreading throughout the Künstlerhaus. A grotto,
a fish farm, a secret spiritualist salon or the threeroom flat of an opera visionary – the Caveland team will transform the Mousonturm for three weeks into alternative social meeting places.
Welcome to Caveland! ist ein Projekt im Rahmen des Bündnisses internationaler Produktionshäuser, gefördert von der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, präsentiert im Rahmen der intergenerationalen Vermittlungsiniative ALL IN – FÜR PUBLIKUM JEDEN ALTERS, gefördert vom Hessischen Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst. Welcome to Caveland! wird gezeigt mit Unterstützung der Adolf und Luisa Haeuser-Stiftung für Kunst und Kulturpflege im Rahmen der Projektreihe UNLIMITED zur Förderung exemplarischer Positionen zeitgenössischer Performing Arts. Mit freundlicher Unterstützung des Institut français und des französischen Ministeriums für Kultur und Kommunikation/DGCA und im Rahmen von Frankfurt auf Französisch – Frankreich Ehrengast der Frankfurter Buchmesse 2017.
