Fresh Fruits Movement: Random Circles. Exhibition Edition

17. – 19.09.2021

“Random Circles” is a unique platform for dance, music, creativity, passion, as well as artistic and cultural exchange. After a forced break due to COVID, the Frankfurt-based artists’ initiative Fresh Fruits Movement has now created a pandemic-compliant version of its festival, originally founded in 2014. “Random Circles. Exhibition Edition” unites all dance enthusiasts – whether as audience or as participating dancers – with more than 40 locally and internationally active dancers and musicians in workshops and shows. Dancer Edwin Batalla and his crew from the Fresh Fruits Movement will present new formats such as “Rep. your Country” or “Musicians meet Freestyle Dancers” and, for the first time, two dance pieces will bring the festival a close on stage. On the first day, “Random Circles. Exhibition Edition” will transform the theatre of Künstlerhaus Mousonturm into a dance studio for hybrid workshops where participation is possible both on-site and online. On the second and third day, the festival moves to the SOMMERBAU at Offenbach’s Kaiserlei, which just opened a few weeks ago. The temporary open-air venue is the ideal setting to connect with people from the neighbourhood and international guests and to get to know their moves and perspectives despite the on-going pandemic. As travelling is still difficult for many at the moment and space is limited, many parts of the festival programme will be streamed live.
