Sports Tryouts: a festival with work by four different groups of artists from Tel Aviv and Frankfurt. Four attempts, ‘tryouts’, to approach the 1st International Workers' Olympics in Frankfurt in 1925. An exploratory festival that intervenes in the urban space and invites you to experience adventurous updates. Sports not as competition, but as attempt to try-out a society based on solidarity. Sports not as a spectacle, but as a collective movement in a political space. ‘Sports Tryouts’ recalls the forgotten Olympics and critically examines what remains of its hopes for peace and internationality.
