Fritzi Ernst

Following her solo debut “Keine Termine” (2021), Fritzi Ernst announces her second album “Jo-Jo” after the end of Schnipo Schranke. Once more, all songs were produced together with Ted Gaier from Die Goldenen Zitronen, and Danika Arndt is again responsible for the fantastic artwork. Die ZEIT says “Keine Termine” is an album in which “the do-it-yourself principle is no longer self-empowerment, but a prescribed way of life under neoliberalism”. Der Spiegel heard a melancholy album in the midst of the “post-pandemic war-is-over party atmosphere”. While the first album meandered somewhere between depression pop and pop depression, “Jo-Jo” is more light-hearted, with cheerfully playful squeaky synths and the best NDW instrumentation, while no less profound in character.
