KomaSee

World premiere in Frankfurt: bestselling author Oliver Maria Schmitt (Titanic, Die PARTEI) performs his new novel “KomaSee” (Rowohlt Berlin) for the first time. A modern stalking story about the hunt for celebrities and the hell of rampant tourism. Elena Barone, famous paparazza and German-Italian, wants to prove it all to everyone one last time. She wants to take a photo of George Clooney – THE incredible, amazing, crazy, scandalous picture of Clooney par excellence: the star in private, in his villa on Lake Como – and with his mysterious affair that people are whispering about! But nothing goes as planned, and then Elena's tattooed mother arrives. Help! A rollercoaster ride through the world of the not-yet-rich and no-longer-beautiful, a romantic drama about Italian men and German mothers, a story about the chase and about success in the age of Insta & TikTok, love and gelato, Meloni and Mussolini. George Clooney may even have a part to play – in this cryptic comedy, as dark and deep as Lake Como at night.
