Fog drifts over Frankfurt's main cemetery, the sound of a bell, a haunting. Dots of light appear on the concrete surfaces of the cemetery’s architecture. A voice speaks through our smartphone. This is how we meet the ghost of Maria, who, according to legend, watches over the ghosts of this cemetery.
Swoosh Lieu invite you to a cyberfeminist séance in the form of an audio-video walk. Equipped with a smartphone and headphones, the audience can make contact with queer ghosts and their stories: They are invited to connect with the countless untold, invisible and unheard traces that wander the cemetery grounds. In contact with the ghosts, threads are spun between past and present, opening up the possibilities of other futures.
Important information:
The walk can be undertaken at any time during the opening hours of the main cemetery. The start is in front of the Old Portal, Eckenheimer Landstraße 188.
You will need your own smartphone and headphones for the walk. If you wish, you can also bring a 2-euro coin.
The file will be available for download here from 5 April onwards or can be streamed via a link.
We ask you NOT to walk in groups and to respect people in mourning and the peace and quiet of the dead on the grounds.
The path through the cemetery is not fully accessible.

Hinweise:
- Der Walk kann jederzeit während den Öffnungszeiten des Hauptfriedhofs gemacht werden. Start ist vor dem Alten Portal, Eckenheimer Landstrasse 188.
- Für den Walk wird ein eigenes Smartphone inklusive Kopfhörer benötigt. Wer möchte, bringt außerdem ein 2€-Stück mit.
- Die Datei steht ab dem 5.4. hier zum Download bereit bzw. kann über einen Link gestreamt werden.
- Wir bitten darum, den Walk NICHT in Gruppen zu machen und trauernde Menschen sowie die Totenruhe auf dem Gelände zu respektieren.
- Der Weg über den Friedhof ist nicht barrierefrei.

Biografie
Das queerfeministische Medienkunst- und Performance Kollektiv Swoosh Lieu (Johanna Castell, Katharina Pelosi und Rosa Wernecke) wurde 2009 am Institut für Angewandte Theaterwissenschaft in Gießen gegründet. Ihre Projekte begreifen sie als utopische Wahrnehmungsräume, Vorstellungskraft als Befreiungsmaschine. Ihre Performances und Installationen waren u.a. beim Stückemarkt des Berliner Theatertreffens und bei den Festivals Impulse und Politik im Freien Theater zu sehen, in Zusammenarbeit mit dem NDR sind zwei Hörspiele entstanden.
