Sapporo-born singer NILO combines the sounds of her homeland Japan with harmonious Brazilian rhythms in her music. Since her debut album “Bossa NILO” (2007), she has made a name for herself with her cross-genre music of bossa nova, jazz and Japanese city pop. At Nippon Connection she brings her guitar and expressive voice and offers a repertoire of her own pieces, anime soundtracks and city pop covers.
