Fiesta

with Alfreya Bakla B, Pepe Dayaw, Ea Torrado, Tintin Patrone, The Filipino Superwoman Band, and Bibingka

A fiesta is the ultimate highlight of the year in many provinces of the Philippines: a dazzling celebration full of music, dance, karaoke, food – and the election and coronation of the Festival Queen.

On the first festival weekend, a very special kind of fiesta transforms Mousonturm into a vibrant hotspot. Host of the evening is none other than Alfréya Bakla B., the iconic Adobo Queen of the Philippines! The plus-size trans drag queen and nurse has journeyed from the lively islands via Berlin to Frankfurt, bringing with her a unique mix of wit, talent, and charm – as unmistakable as the taste of her signature dish, Adobo.

At her side is an equally spectacular line-up: Bibingka, Alfréya’s sticky-crispy drag sister from Berlin. TinTin Patrone, the German-Filipino music wonder, spins an irresistible blend of Budots and Techno on the turntables. Pepe Dayaw, food specialist and artist, opens the evening with a ritual and delights with culinary pleasures. As a special guest, the Filipino Superwoman Band will take the stage. And Ea Torrado, the mother of all Festival Queens, leads the parade of Frankfurt debutantes, from whose ranks the ultimate Festival Queen will be crowned.

Come, celebrate – and let yourself be swept away into a fiesta full of surprises, glitter, and wit.
For those who want to dive even deeper into the fiesta world, various workshops will be offered during the day to help prepare for the evening.
