In Möbius Morphosis Rachid Ouramdane created a monumental spectacle of dance, acrobatics, music and song in collaboration with Collectif XY. Together with 35 acrobats from Collectif XY, 26 dancers from the Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon and the children’s choir from the Maîtrise de Radio France, he put more than 70 artists on stage for the Olympiade Culturelle at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Inspired by Murmurations – the breathtaking shapes created by birds in flight – the ensemble fills the stage like a dancing flock. Jean-Benoît Dunckel, co-founder of the legendary pop duo AIR, composed the music for this project celebrating the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect. Tanzfestival Rhein-Main now presents the film recording of Möbius Morphosis from 2024 and invites the audience to be carried along by the power of collective physicality. A hypnotic evening that fuses nature, community and movement in a playful choreography and impressively manifests the spirit of the Olympic Games.
