The dance performance “Hey Sister!” invites us to rethink sisterhood: biological, chosen, and socially influenced. The piece is a feminist exploration of sibling constellations and deliberately takes a broader view of the term “sister.” Between closeness and rivalry, cohesion and separation, Hennermann’s Horde examines how complex and multi-layered these relationships are. Themes from fairy tales and pop culture meet questions surrounding sisterhood: solidarity, empowerment, and new forms of community. Three dancers from the contemporary and urban dance scene invite the audience to rediscover, reflect on, and reconsider their own relationship experiences.
