Carnoid

Fabrice Mazliah

In “Carnoid”, human and technical bodies encounter each other and explore their relationship to one another. In this new work, choreographer Fabrice Mazliah explores the posthuman interpenetration of organic and technical bodies, inviting performers Ophelia Young, Oleg Stepanov and Jan Chris Pollert to share the stage with a car. Between fusion and resistance, the trio deconstructs the archetypal symbol of technological progress created by human hands and explores possible ways of dealing with this indelible relic of our modern age. The encounter between man and machine gives rise to a fragile interplay of intimacy and vulnerability, in which collision and coexistence draw closer together.
