Ballet for Contemporary Dancers
This training uses classical ballet material to explore technical foundations for musical, linear dancing. We work at the barre, center, and across the floor, focusing on tools for greater suspension, elasticity, and rebound, deeply connected to the honest, functional expression of our bodies.

Our aim is to feel good dancing this material and to learn from it through analysis and practice. We explore when to use strength, when to release, and how. How can we align the skeleton to make these movements more accessible for the bodies we have? The class offers detailed technical information, individualized attention, and an environment where risk-taking supports greater clarity of how we move, perform, and learn. The class transparently relates to the teaching of Janet Panetta.
