Singer-songwriter Dominik Merscheid is coming to visit you with his special suitcase, which contains not only lots of wacky little instruments, but also plenty of imaginative story songs to listen to, sing along to, and join in on! Music that captures the attention of both children and adults—known from shows like KIKA’s “SingAlarm” and WDR’s “Maus-Radio,” and winner of the 2021 Weberlein Jury Prize and the 2024 LEOPOLD Prize from the Association of German Music Schools.

Dominik Merscheid macht Musik für Kinder und Erwachsene. Als Liedermacher und Multiinstrumentalist, aber auch Geräuschemacher, Stimmenversteller und Klinikclown ist er stets auf der Suche nach inspirierenden Ideen, sprudelnder Spielfreude und authentischem Austausch. Merscheid liebt abseitige Akkordfolgen und merkwürdige Melodien, philosophische Phantastereien und raffinierte Reime – geprägt sowohl von klassischen Songwritern wie Paul McCartney und Liedermachern wie Reinhard Mey als auch von Wortakrobaten wie Bodo Wartke und Beat-Produzenten wie Benny Sings.
Seine cleveren Kompositionen, komplexen Texte und vielschichtigen Arrangements richten sich an junge und ältere Zuhörer*innen gleichermaßen.
