Wie alt fühlst du dich heute? Wird man irgendwann zu alt für Sex? Wann hast du zuletzt an den Tod gedacht?

Sex und Tod gehören zu den Themen des Lebens, und doch sprechen wir selten offen und persönlich darüber, besonders mit älteren Menschen. Samara Hersch lädt zu einer ungewöhnlich offenen Eins-zu-eins-Begegnung ein: Besucher*innen treffen auf Menschen über 70 und kommen in den Austausch über persönliche Erfahrungen und gesellschaftliche Vorstellungen. Zwischen Fremdheit und Intimität entsteht eine Begegnung, in der Fragen von Alter, Begehren und Vergänglichkeit in Nähe und Distanz verhandelt werden können. Eine berührend intime Erfahrung, die dazu einlädt, den eigenen Körper und den des Gegenübers neu zu betrachten und beide in ihrer Veränderlichkeit wahrzunehmen.

Biography

Samara Hersch is an artist and theatre director working between Europe and Australia. Her practice investigates the encounter between contemporary performance and community en-gagement and her research explores intimacy as a political act, imagining different modalities that can be inhabited by non-professional performers and the public together. Samara re-ceived the prestigious Caroline Neuber Scholarship in Leipzig in 2023. She completed her Masters at DAS Theatre in Amsterdam in 2019.
