In 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit Brazil particularly hard, Lia Rodrigues Companhia de Danças celebrated its 30th anniversary. At the invitation of the Berlin theatre HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Lia Rodrigues and her team created a series of films about their work over the previous years, as well as about life during the pandemic and its impact on the members of the company. “Creation Notebooks” offers an insight into the company’s poetic, political and artistic universe. The films are collages of rehearsals, performances, inspirations, images, photographs and artistic testimonies.
