Die Tanz-Studierenden bewegen sich auf einer Reihe von orangenen Matten diagonal durch den Raum. Sie tragen Mund-und-Nase-Bedeckungen und schwarze Blazer und Hosen, ihre rechten Beine sind hoch in die Luft gestreckt.

1961–2021: 60 years of dance education at the HfMDK

There is cause for celebration: 60 years of dance education at the HfMDK. The dance department of the HfMDK has been presenting appealing and challenging programmes every year since 2003 at Mousonturm – and now for the second time at Frankfurt LAB – attracting dance enthusiasts to the theatre who are ready to be swept away over and over again by the young dancers’ irrepressible joy of movement. “shifting perspectives / dis_dancing ctnd” provides insights into very different choreographic approaches, working methods and styles, featuring new choreographies by Katja Cheraneva, Marguerite Donlon, Toula Limnaios, Regina van Berkel and, for the first time, Sada Mamedova (alumna of the dance department) as well as Evangelos Poulinas. By working with many different choreographers, the students have the opportunity to playfully explore the many facets of their artistic creativity – dynamic, precise, attentive, captivating, bold!
