Collective Discussion
Moderated by Sandra Noeth and Anna Wagner
Experiencing protection, either individually or as a collective, has a range of meanings: as well as preserving the physical integrity and legal status of a body, it is also a matter of symbolic protection and ethical and humanitarian recognition. In conversation with all the participating artists and theorists as well as the public, the last session of the programme unfolds, once more, the idea of protection: who can afford to claim for protection? How is the idea of bodily protection linked to neoliberal concepts of risk and vulnerability? How can we still imagine resistance projects while claiming protection from the state? And what is our personal and collective responsibility and accountability in the process?
