On their new album “Speisekammer des Weltendes”, Erregung Öffentlicher Erregung shed light on human existence in post-capitalism and repeatedly capture it in culinary metaphors. Between the tracks, they for example ask: What do enjoyment and leisure look like in the face of an impending apocalypse? These tensions are also reflected in the music - with pieces that celebrate demolition and those that lament decay.
