home.frankfurt.telaviv

An interdisciplinary and feminist exchange project with artists from Frankfurt and Tel Aviv on the subject: home

home.frankfurt.telaviv asks artists from the two partner cities about their concepts of being at home. What does “home” mean? What can “home” be? The answers are as diverse as the artists themselves. Their works address topics such as homesickness and homelessness, displacement, silence or memory and uprooting. Identity, family and cultural tradition play just as important a role as exploring the boundaries between private and public space. Intersectional and queer perspectives and questions about belonging are also part of the artistic considerations, as well as a longing for security and connection or for interaction and dialogue.

From the begin of May onwards, the participating artists will be showing their work at various locations in Frankfurt am Main, accompanied by an extensive programme of artist talks, performances and guided tours.

With Maayan Danoch, Idit Herman, Swoosh Lieu, Bárbara Luci Carvalho, Julia Mihály, Vered Nissim, Anny und Sibel Öztürk, Noga Or-Yam, Naama Roth, Elianna Renner, Rotem Volk, Xinan.
