The group of artists who are continually and successfully producing dance, performance and theater on an independent basis without their own venue reaches far beyond the Mousonturm. ID_Frankfurt, as an artistic community of interest, has been creating international production platforms and festivals for many years and, with the Hessische Landesverband Professionelle Freie Darstellende Künste laPROF, is heavily engaged in reforming local funding policies. studioNAXOS not only produced its own successful theater projects; with the Theater Willy Praml, the new initiative developed sustainable impulses in the Naxoshalle that make it possible for other venues such as the Theaterhaus or the Gallus Theater to begin new forms of cooperation with independent theater-makers and to promote a growing diversity and sharpening of the profile of Frankfurt’s theater landscape.
