2021: the pandemic, the complete breakdown of art, music, theatre. Only one artist continues to incessantly tour, sparing no risk and no expense: Rocko Schamoni. While everyone else, just like the audience, sits at home and waits, Schamoni continues to perform, almost every night, delivering ghost readings and phantom concerts in front of empty halls – as a sign, just to keep the thing going. Those who dare to get off the sofa at home now have the unique chance to see the well-greased show machine live again after a break of almost one and a half years! Schamoni will recite texts from his book “Der Jaeger und sein Meister” (The Jaeger and his Master), the long-awaited biography about Hamburg’s genius comedian Heino Jaeger, which will not be published until August. And he will play the best songs from his long musical career together with his old friend and companion Tex Matthias Strzoda.
Location:
– Accessible only via the entrance at Palmengartenstraße.
– The event will take place no matter what kind of weather.
– No self-seating, no picnics on the lawn!
– Catering will be provided, but you are also allowed to bring your own food and drinks.
Tickets:
– Only entire benches can be booked when purchasing tickets (1 bench = max. 2 people). All benches are placed individually at an appropriately safe distance from each other.
– Tickets can only be purchased in advance. There will be no evening box office on location.
– Wheelchair users are requested to please register before purchasing tickets by writing to: katja.liebetruth@mousonturm.de, as not all seats are wheelchair accessible.
– The ticket is valid after the event as a 2for1 voucher for a visit to the Palmengarten (until 31 December 2021).
Hygiene and Safety:
– Registration for mandatory tracking in case of Covid-19 infections will be done on location.
– Wearing a mouth-nose covering is mandatory all over the concert area, except in the seating areas.

Biography
King Rocko Schamoni
Rocko Schamoni ist Musiker, Autor, Theaterregisseur, Schauspieler und Entertainer. Zusammen mit Heinz Strunk und Jacques Palminger bildet er das humoristische Ensemble „Studio Braun“. Zuletzt veröffentlichte er seinen Roman „Große Freiheit“. Auf Tour ist er, seitdem er geboren wurde.
