Christmas without Max Goldt is like theatre without an audience – so it’s all the better that this satirist par excellence is on tour again this year. The former ‘Titanic’ columnist and prize-winning author, whose numerous awards include the Kleist Prize and the Göttinger Elch, will present old and new works filled with sharp observations and subtle humour. Biography
Max Goldt
Max Goldt, geboren 1958 in Göttingen, lebt in Berlin. Er bildete zusammen mit Gerd Pasemann das Musikduo „Foyer des Arts“, in welchem er eigene Texte deklamierte. Max Goldt hat zusammen mit Stephan Katz sechs Comicbände herausgebracht. Er bereist nicht selten den deutschen Sprachraum als Vortragender eigener Texte. 1997 wurde ihm der Kasseler Literaturpreis für grotesken Humor verliehen, 1999 der Richard-Schönfeld-Preis für literarische Satire, 2008 der Kleist-Preis und der Hugo-Ball-Preis und 2016 der Göttinger Elch.
