A jangly Western guitar on overdrive, a flat organ, a dark synthesiser – it could be called “fuzz folk” or simply categorised as all-encompassing Indie. Endless Wellness could be described as the “Big Thief, only in German”, “the early Tocotronic, but later” or as “Isolation Berlin from Vienna”, whose musical collaboration is based on the close friendship between the four band members. Their songs with obscurely poetic lyrics are an attempt to redirect the feeling of collective exhaustion into a collective loud rebellion – against a dysfunctional system that is riddled with failed climate policies and resurgent fascism. Endless Wellness manage to capture our era and its spirit and transform them into a melancholic but comforting warmth.
