EXPOSED

Mousonturm Studio 1

Film

Last year, the Kinothek Asta Nielsen successfully began exploring concepts of queerness in film. The series of film screenings nomadically travelled throughout the city and now comes to rest at Mousonturm for the first time in October with A Queer Feeling When I Look at You. To kick off the future monthly film series at Mousonturm, they will be presenting the film EXPOSED, in which underground artist Beth B provides distinct insights into the New Yorker burlesque scene. Exclusive archive material of artists in the Lower East Side clubs reveals a world, in which the presentation of (unperfect) bodies, sexual diversity and the transgression of boundaries is joyfully celebrated.

After the screening, there will be a talk with Nicolette Naumann (Nitribitt – Frankfurter Ökonomien)
queer cinema is curated by Karola Gramann and Susanne Michal Schwartze.
