FLIMMERSKOTOM

Location: Frankfurt LAB (Gallus)

Hessische Theaterakademie/Performance

Wilsonstraße – the street sign in the main corridor of Giessen’s Institute for Applied Theatre Studies is not only a witty reference to Robert Wilson, the founding generation’s patron saint. It also stands for a worldwide network of artists who have had an essential role in renewing theater in the last 30 years. In Wilsonstraße ON TOUR, the institute is presenting two current works by students as a double bill:

in Abramović, Cher und ich, the duo Ruby Thomas celebrates its intimate and ambivalent relationship to two great art and pop icons of the past decades with due opulence (4 pm).

In FLIMMERSKOTOM, a powerful sound and light apparatus takes on the main choreographic role in the performance by Benjamin Hoesch, Gregor Glogowski and Alisa Hecke (5 pm).
