Amir Hassan Cheheltan’s new book Der Kalligraph von Isfahan deals with survival, forbidden love and flight, war and hunger and the clash of different religious cultures. Journalist, author and Islamic scholar Stefan Weidner will give an introduction to the work of this Iranian author and then discuss the new book with him and German Peace Prize winner Navid Kermani, as well as talk about Cheheltan’s Teheran trilogy and the meaning of literature for Iranian society.
