The French artist Philippe Quesne and his group Vivarium Studio create stage poems or situations in a cinemascope format as though they were occurring right now – and by mistake. They who ponder what this is all leading to, they shall turn to Serge: in self-experiments he demonstrates for his friends (with the help of an automobile, and sometimes a sparkler or the Ride of the Valkyries) how humanity’s big questions can be answered. How can we understand nature? Why do we make art? How do we save the world?
