Frankfurt Author’s Forum for Children’s and Young People’s Theatre

In theatre work, children and young people have already assumed far more than the role of an unpredictable audience. Growing sensitivity for and increased dedication to diversity in society are mirrored not only in new theatre texts. Increasingly, it is children and young people themselves, who significantly contribute to artistic concepts, cultural outreach formats or institutional structures. The 29th Frankfurt Author’s Forum 2017 invites you to a comprehensive critical-passionate reflection of these current developments, while searching for ways and possibilities of forging ahead: who is theatre actually campaigning for? How can inclusive theatre events counteract the exclusivity of theatre? And what could theatre for young audiences look like in the future?
