Hip hop, township tech, electro and rock: DJ, producer and bandleader Spoek Mathambo mixes contemporary urban sounds with a werewolf’s appetite. As the star of the South African scene, this Soweto artist constantly treads on new aesthetic paths. Numerous EPs and his albums Mshini Wam (2010) and Father Creeper (2012) have taught afrofuturism a lesson.
