Bulldozers flatten the desert, neighbourhoods are fenced in, electricity pervades the informal, crowds of people occupy the middle land. What does, what could the city of the future sound like? In “Stadt (Land Fluss)”, composer Hannes Seidl and media artist Daniel Kötter expand the discourse on the right to the city with the help of music theatre. The highly interconnected city and the radical effects of the permanent battle over its modification are turned into an acoustic and spatial experience – with electromagnetic headphones in constantly transforming stage spaces and audioscapes. The filmic 360-degree panorama of a bustling inner-city wasteland, hosting an isolated container village in its midst, is simultaneously an audio setting for the sounds and music of Sebastian Berweck, Andrea Neumann, Martin Lorenz and Christina Kubisch.

Biography
Kötter/Seidl
Seit 2008 arbeiten DANIEL KÖTTER und HANNES SEIDL zusammen an unterschiedlichen künstlerischen Formaten wie Experimentalfilm, Installationen, Performances oder Ausstellungen. Den Schwerpunkt bilden jedoch abendfüllende, musiktheatrale Arbeiten, darunter Falsche Arbeit (2008), Falsche Freizeit (2010), Freizeitspektakel (2010) sowie die Trilogie Ökonomien des Handelns KREDIT, RECHT, LIEBE (2013-16), die auf zahlreichen internationalen Festivals gezeigt wurden. 2017 waren sie in den Sophiensælen und im Künstlerhaus Mousonturm im Rahmen des Festivals “Welcome to Caveland!” mit ihrer Arbeit Ingolf (2017) vertreten, welche die Kunstgattungen Dokumentarfilm, Installation und Performance kombinierte, und im Herbst desselben Jahres wurde ihre Performance Stadt (Land Fluss) (2017) uraufgeführt.
