Lina Majdalanie

Lina Majdalanie, geboren in Beirut (Libanon), arbeitet sowohl als Schauspielerin als auch als Regisseurin und Autorin. Sie entwickelte zahlreiche Produktionen, darunter u.a. „Biokhraphia” (2002), „Photoromance” (2009), „33 rpm and a few seconds“ (2012), „A Drop of Sweat“ (2015), „Appendice”, „Do I Know you?” (2017), „Borborygmus“ (2019) und „Last but not Last“ (2020). Darüber hinaus lehrte sie u.a. an der Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design in Genf, am DasArts in Amsterdam, an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt und am Bard College Berlin. Majdalanie fragt in ihren Arbeiten nach Formen politischer Sprache in Zeiten der Globalisierung und der digitalen Technologie. Für verschiedene Institutionen kuratiert sie regelmäßig Programm, z.B. „Motion-Less“ (Tanzquartier Wien, 2009), „Beyond Beirut“ (Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, 2016) und „Relatively Universal“ (HAU, 2017).
