This year’s project ensemble PET_10 turns the customary process of producing dance upside down. Instead of transposing the dance material onto the actual stage only days before the premiere, where it is complemented by stagecraft, lights, sound and video, Swoosh Lieu will develop an audio-visual set of rules in which the setting of the stage, lights, sound and video invite the dance to join them. The stage choreographs the dance. The technical determinants invite the four dancers to read the choreography and develop four solos – the ensemble dances. Everything but Solo.
