In the year 2011, there were 43.7 million refugees worldwide, fleeing from wars, poverty, environmental catastrophes and destruction, ethnic or religious persecution. Many of them dream of returning to their lost homeland one day. But what if that is not possible? With the theatre project Fluchtpunkt Berlin, director Tobias Rausch and a group of young people jointly explore stories about flight, the homeland in people’s minds, and being in transit in the here and now.
