“I’d ask the world to dance”, sings Billy Idol, and “I’ll be dancing with myself”. The world is asked to dance – but who dances with whom, when my ego only revolves
around myself? Self-optimization, (self-) surveillance, self-display,digital identities and digital death – students from the Frankfurt University for Music and Performing Arts (Directing), as well as the Goethe University (dramaturgy and theatre studies) reflect their everyday experiences with personal digital worlds and environments in installations, performances and lectures. Out of a scenic project realized in collaboration with director
Stefanie Lorey and dramaturge Fanti Baum, they have developed distinct individual positions of their own, which they will be presenting as part of the FP
Extra festival.
