“In the beginning there was nothing – and that exploded.” Louis Vanhaverbeke is a DJ. At least in MULTIVERSE. In light of all the records, turntables, apparatuses and other stuff surrounding him on stage, one should say multi-functional DJ or even better: multi-functional rapper! Vanhaverbeke starts up his sound machines, scratches his vinyl pressed arguments, grinds his lines out of the grooves and brushes his favourite hits against the grain for so long with the record needle until your brain starts to roar and your thoughts finally sprad out into new dimensions.

Kritiker bezeichnen Milo Rau als den “einflussreichsten” (Die Zeit), “meistausgezeichneten” (Le Soir), “interessantesten” (De Standaard) oder “ambitioniertesten” (The Guardian) Künstler unserer Zeit: Der Schweizer Regisseur und Autor Milo Rau (*1977), künstlerischer Leiter des NTGent ab der Saison 2018/19. Rau studierte Soziologie, Germanistik und Romanistik in Paris, Berlin und Zürich u.a. bei Pierre Bourdieu und Tzvetan Todorov. Seit 2002 veröffentlichte er über 50 Theaterstücke, Filme, Bücher und Aktionen. Seine Produktionen waren bei allen großen internationalen Festivals zu sehen, darunter das Berliner Theatertreffen, das Festival d’Avignon, die Biennale Venedig, die Wiener Festwochen und das Brüsseler Kunstenfestivaldesarts und tourten bereits durch über 30 Länder weltweit. Rau hat viele Auszeichnungen erhalten, zuletzt den Peter-Weiss-Preis 2017, den 3sat-Preis 2017, die Saarbrücker Poetik-Dozentur für Dramatik 2017 und 2016 als jüngster Künstler nach Frank Castorf und Pina Bausch den renommierten ITI-Preis des Welttheatertages. 2017 wurde Milo Rau bei der Kritikerumfrage der Deutschen Bühne zum „Schauspielregisseur des Jahres“ gewählt. Rau ist auch Fernsehkritiker, Dozent und ein überaus produktiver Schriftsteller.
