For the final edition of LOKAL Listener before the summer break, Gregor Praml has two guests on the couch for the veryfirst time: for 11 years The Oh!chestra stood on stage as The OhOhOhs, playing a mix of e-piano, sampling, drums and percussion. Their performances have become especially legendary in their hometown of Frankfurt. Meanwhile the two Florians – pianist Wäldele with last name, percussionist Dreßler – felt like doing something different and created The Oh!chestra. They wanted something more like chamber music, to expand their possibilities and also occasionally work with guest musicians, exploring classical music in ways that felt right to them. The result: “Floating Schubert” or “Partita Tech”. Dance beats mixed with original work by great classical composers, with no limits to the imagination.
