Singer, accordionist and performer Erika Stucky fearlessly moves between jazz and cabaret, blues and pop, punk and rock – her bizarre-vibrant shows have long since reached cult status. After sausage and meat (“Stucky con Carne”), she is now serving up hard liquor: Tuba Kong! This time, the creatures from Stucky’s world are crawling out of the ground: King Kong, Godzilla, Dracula and Frankenstein’s monster serve as deep, condensed tones inspiration for her new program. As do Johnny Cash, Suzi Quatro and Screaminʼ Jay Hawkins. Also in the band: FM Einheit (sounds), Jon Sass (tuba) and Ian Gordon-Lennox (tuba, trumpet). And if you’re worried, take along a garlic necklace or two.
