Would you be willing to open your home for a performance? For her piece utopia.docm Christiane Jatahy set out in search of nine Frankfurt residents, who were willing to allow a part of their private lives to become material for a performance. The participants were invited to describe their home in a letter and also write about other places that they feel attracted to. Nine contemporary Brazilian authors then used these personal letters to develop stories and texts as a basis for exclusive, one-of-a-kind performances presented without an outside audience in the participants’ actual homes. The audience can only access these performances via their documentation – for example in form of a video installation in Studio 2 at Mousonturm.
