Zombies im Theater: Eine dramaturgische Herausforderung

This summer semester, Markus Wessendorf from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA, is assuming the position of Friedrich-Hölderlin visiting professor for General and Comparative Dramaturgy at the University of Frankfurt. His main topics of research are “Dramaturgies of Surveillance” and the fields of intercultural theatre, theories of performativity, as well as theatre and performance since “9/11”. His inauguration talk will focus on the omnipresence of the zombie motif in American contemporary culture since the last global financial crisis – based on his own Chekhov adaptation Uncle Vanya and Zombies 2012 at the Kennedy Theatre in Honolulu.
