The sub-culture supergroup BOIBAND was founded in 2016 by radical chansonnier Hans Unstern, performance prodigy Tucké Royale and the self-proclaimed 7-Billion Dollar-Face Black Cracker. Boiband with an “i” is all about problematizing penis-centred maleness, about one’s voice changing retroactively, about accepting pregnant dads, effeminizing the West and about establishing a fund to distribute welcome money to trans*people. BOIBAND generate their casually empowering queer-pop out of the sound of homemade harps, analogue drums and gender-political lyrics of a hopeful future. This April, they visit Frankfurt for the first time with their debut album “The Year I Broke My Voice” – the “glamorous soundtrack of a queer pop utopia” (Musikexpress)! Music, politics and glamour at its best!

Das Projekt “im*possible bodies. Performing sharing celebrating. Festival für utopische Praxis” wird gefördert durch die Kulturstiftung des Bundes und unterstützt durch die Freunde und Förderer des Mousonturms e.V. (f.f.m).
