Twenty naked dancers shake, rattle and wobble their flesh. Their bodies slam into one another, sweat and crash, with Austrian dancer and choreographer Doris Uhlich as DJ right in the thick of it performing true to the motto: Let´s party our body! What do 20 naked bodies (still) have to say? What opulence and dynamics do fleshliness and the complete release of a dancer’s acquired strengths produce? Doris Uhlich views her ensemble as more than a group: a dance society, which sets itself in motion in order to perform nudity free from ideologies and provocation. It is neither embarrassing to watch, nor does it feel like voyeurism. Instead it becomes clear how much political and social fuel lies in dealing with one’s own body, without which we could not even form a single thought? more than naked presents flesh in motion and dancing flesh that has something to say!
