Simone Dede Ayivi sets out on an expedition through colonial history: Berlin – Lomé – Hanover, directly into the colonially influenced folds of her own family. Carrying a heavy inheritance, she visits the yesterday in the cities of today. She travels to the site of former anthropological exhibitions and colonial monuments and gives accounts of resistance and visions. A multi-media travelogue from a black perspective.
